A charming and intimate wedding at Whitestone Inn in Kingston, TN, filled with love, laughter, and timeless moments.

Neil and I got together a couple of years ago after my great aunt wanted us to meet. She and Neil went to the same church, and she noticed that while he was always there ready to worship, he had no girl doing it alongside him. She went up to him one day and said, "Excuse me, I don't even know your name, but are you single? (lol) Because I have a niece who is, and something just told me "you". Later, she told me that before she talked to Neil, she had asked God if the nudge she felt to approach him came from Him, and He answered her, "Yes". Although we were both interested in meeting, nothing came of it until a couple of months later, when I got a call from her. Neil's lacrosse team he coaches was having a pancake fundraiser, and she invited me to come! He and I met that day, talked over breakfast, and had our official first date a couple weeks later. We have been inseparable ever since! He proposed on our two year anniversary, April 28, in the living room of our future home as we were getting ready to leave for dinner. We truly feel that the Lord hand-picked us for each other, and we cannot wait to spend our future together, creating a life that is as simple and Christ-filled as posssible.
This is a day that we want to remember and look back on for the rest of our lives! I want to watch it with Neil on every anniversary. I want to show it to our future children. I want to go back and relive the excitement and love we felt that day!
I never thought I would be able to afford a wedding videography team as talented as you all are. I was searching for videographers in my budget, but when your ad popped up on my Instragram feed, I knew that this would be a chance to have something nicer than what I had ever dreamed of. I sent a message to you, not expecting anything to come of it, so when you messaged me back, I was in shock! I cannot tell you how excited I am to be working with you. This is such a tremendous gift, and I am so grateful.
Neil has been a school teacher for 9 years; he has taught 7th-9th grade science over the course of his career. He also is head coach of the girls' lacrosse team at his school. I have been a nurse for 4 years. I have always worked in pediatrics. I spent a year and a half in the Neonatal ICU, 2 years in pediatric inpatient surgery, and this past year, I have been doing school nursing. I love it and plan on retiring from this job! In my free time, I love to read, thrift, and cook, and Neil love to be outside, hunting and fishing mostly. We love to spend our time cooking meals together, working on our garden, spending time with family, and relaxing at home. We're also getting chickens here in a couple of weeks which we are so excited about! Our ultimate goal in life is to honor God in all that we do. He is the foundation of our lives, and without Him, our purpose is void. So, what is important in our lives is that we give Him the glory in all of its moments, good or bad!
There was a girl I used to work with at the hospital who got married at Whitestone Inn. When we became friends on Facebook, I saw some pictures she had posted of her wedding day, and I said to her, "Where did you get married at? That venue is BEAUTIFUL!" Ever since then, I have had it on my radar. When I visited Whitestone for the first time, I felt such a peace, and I said to my mom and sister, "The way I feel here now is the way I want to feel on my wedding day." We talked to a groundskeeper that day, and he told us about how the owners of the inn have a history of letting missionaries stay there for free in exchange that they pray for the inn itself, and more specifically, the room they stay in. The grounds are gorgeous, surrounded by fields of sheep, birds (it's a bird sancutary), and lakefront views. The place is just filled with the beauty of nature and the Holy Spirit!
We want our day to be sweet, intentional, and festive--blue and white chinoiserie, red tartan, and gold accents will be our theme for decor. I am also a big believer that the small details are just as important as the big! For example, the chapel we will be having our ceremony in was designed with intention (three crosses in the rafters represent those at Calvary, steeple/gothic windows point toward heaven, three gables and steps to the platform symbolilze the Trinity, stained glass window with staff/crown shows that Jesus is King and Shepherd)--I plan on sharing this info with my guests on the back of the program. Also, my family is large, so we are used to having huge weddings (250-400 people). We wanted our day to be a little more intimate, so the 150 person capacity at our venue is perfect.
