The Proposal

We met at a Christmas party in 2014 but were too shy to talk. Days later, mutual friends introduced us, and we began chatting daily. After a brief misunderstanding where we stopped texting, we reconnected and spent months getting closer—going on dates, attending concerts, and meeting each other’s families.

On Easter, Jeremy invited Stacy to meet his family, where everyone teased us about being a couple. A week later, Jeremy officially asked Stacy to be his girlfriend.

Fast-forward nearly eight years, Jeremy planned a heartfelt proposal on the night he received his sacraments. With the help of his family, he decorated our home with flowers, candles, and a “Will you marry me?” sign. Despite a few hints that gave it away, the moment was magical.

Why do you want to capture your wedding on video?

We want to capture EVERYTHING. I believe videography may be the most important priority for us on our wedding day, even more so than photography. Years from now we can look back and reminisce on our special day.

Why did you choose us?

We chose Topher Films because of the different options that were available for us to choose from. I came across Topher Films on Instagram and loved the videos and sneak peaks of previous weddings that were filmed. I sent Jeremy a link to view the IG page and noticed sniffling, I turned around and asked him if he was okay, he said yes he was and that he was envisioning our wedding. That was when I knew that we had to have Topher Films at our wedding.

You guys? …What do you do?..How do you spend your days?.. What’s important in life?

I am an accountant for The City of Austin- Parks & Recreation Department, Jeremy works for FESA as a lead pro-creation coach for service creators. Lately, while preparing for the wedding we've picked up indoor cycling to get fit for the wedding, aside from work and that wedding planning takes up a huge chunk of my day. I do love reading and listening to audio books. Jeremy LOVES sports, in particular, he loves baseball and basketball. His favorite sports teams are the Houston Astros and the San Antonio Spurs. Jeremy also loves to golf in his free time. We have a few furbabies that we adore and love to spend time with them.

The Venue. Why did you choose it above anywhere else?

The Luminaire was the very first venue that we toured, we absolutely fell in love with it and every other venue that we toured could not match it. We loved how spacious The Luminaire is, with both of us coming from a big family, we knew we wanted a venue that could accommodate us. Jeremy's favorite part about The Luminaire was how big the grooms suite is. Every other venue that we viewed were much smaller in size, he knew he wanted a big space to accommodate his 8 groomsmen. The other thing that we love about The Luminaire is the 360 bar, which looks amazing!
