A memorable wedding held at The Dallas Palms in Texas, offering a perfect blend of elegance and charm for a truly special celebration.
Irving and Francisco’s love story began two Novembers ago at Havana’s nightclub, where a flirtatious encounter, carefree dancing, and an unexpected goodbye kiss marked the start of their romance. A twist of fate—the end of daylight savings time—gave them an extra hour that night, leading to their serendipitous meeting.
Their first date at Las Palmas foreshadowed their journey, as their wedding venue, Dallas Palms, felt like a cosmic sign. Three years later, on the same weekend they met, they celebrated their love by getting married.
Their engagement was a spontaneous and heartfelt Christmas 2023 moment. After Francisco faced a health scare, he proposed to Irving in front of family, in their pajamas, by the Christmas tree. Though unplanned, it was deeply personal and filled with love, perfectly leading to the next chapter of their beautiful story.
Why not, right!? We're only going to get married this one time, and the day is going to pass us by so fast, and we'll need memories. We want to be able to look back on this day, during good and bad days, and we want to be able to share it with our children in the future as well. It's so important for us to have this memory in a way we can see and feel it - pictures are great, but a video is perfect!
After looking at various placed online (most through IG ads) we really loved the feeling Topher Films capture across their videos. You can FEEL the love in every video on your website, and your IG, and we want our video to not just be a rehash of the day, but to have emotion and carry with it sentiment and meaning. We also wanted to work with someone young and Latino, who will understand our vibe.
When we're not busy working (Francisco is in education and Irving is in funeral services and sales), we spend a lot of our time together, watching movies, dancing, and enjoying quiet company. We used to party - a lot! But over time, we've quieted down and enjoyed time at home watching a movie on a night in, out on a restaurant eating delicious food (a lot of seafood), and traveling when we're able to. Most important for us is each other - we don't have large families, so we center our life around one another, and the future prospect of building our own family as a married couple. We'd love to have kids, and though it'll be harder for us, we're excited about when it happens! Life is about being happy, and doing whatever it is that makes you happy - no judgement, no cares, just joy. We might not have tomorrow, so we have to enjoy today for what today is, and be grateful that we had today.
We selected The Dallas Palms venue because it offered everything in one place. There is a beautiful garden where the ceremony will take place, and the ballroom for the reception. The ballroom has these beautiful stairs we'll come down from when we present ourselves as married, and everything just felt perfect to us. We didn't want people to have to go back and forth between wedding events, so this felt perfect. Also, we really liked the planner we met with, and she's been great. The venue should be capturing the very essence of who we are and what we want - an elegant, young, and wild party, a true celebration of love.
We want our guests to leave with memories, sore cheeks from the laughs, & new friends.
