About the Couple

The Proposal

We first met back in 2013 while playing soccer, coached by my dad, Jerry Maxey. Jacob first noticed me during a Sand Soccer trip to Corpus Christi, and that was the start of a long crush and admiration that lasted for years. Finally, in January 2022, Jacob gathered the courage to ask me out, last minute on a date to the Rodeo at Dickies Arena. To his delight, I said yes! He had done the impossible, and from there, the rest was history.

Why do you want to capture your wedding on video?

I want to be able to rewatch the extra special moments with my husband and our family as it grows throughout the years.

Why did you choose us?

Topher Films popped up on our Instagram feed and we loved the video style that was shot from other weddings.

You guys? …What do you do?..How do you spend your days?.. What’s important in life?

Me, Gabriella, teaches special education in Saginaw. Jacob is in the Army National Guard and works IT at Textron. We love playing pickleball together, going to church, trying out new food spots, and traveling to visit friends and family.

The Venue. Why did you choose it above anywhere else?

We chose The Chapel at Riverwalk because we absolutely love the Riverwalk and the chapel’s open, airy feel. The best part is that the reception venue is just a short walk across the bridge, making it incredibly convenient and perfect for our celebration.
