The Proposal

Our story began at WSU, where we first crossed paths on Greek Row. During our sophomore year, Ryan asked Rylee to his fraternity’s Spring Formal in Coeur d'Alene, a night full of drinks, laughter, and our very first kiss.

Through the rest of college, we stayed close as friends. After graduation, fate stepped in again when a mutual friend reconnected us. By Halloween, Ryan finally asked Rylee on a real date, and from there, our connection only grew stronger.

That December, while out with friends at SantaCon, Rylee invited Ryan on a three-week trip to Europe. In February 2019, we set off on that adventure together, starting in Ireland with Rylee’s friend Erin, then heading to Amsterdam, and finally Lisbon. On our last night in Lisbon, under the lights of Pink Street, Rylee asked the question that defined us: “What the heck are we?!” From that night on, we came home as an official couple.

Since then, life has been a beautiful whirlwind. We’ve moved to Texas, traveled to new places, gotten engaged, brought home a sweet puppy, and created countless memories with the people we love most.

Why do you want to capture your wedding on video?

We want something to look back at many many years and remember what a special day it was!! Not many times in your life do you get to share a night with everyone who is important to you, all in one room present for such a big moment. Would love to capture that!

We love that your package covers both photography and videography. Your videos are extremely well done and you've been super awesome to communicate with already. Also you have great reviews!! Super excited to work with you!

You guys? …What do you do?..How do you spend your days?.. What’s important in life?

We moved to Texas about 2 years ago for Ryan's job. He works in the commercial aquatics industry where he works in a warehouse in Richardson and often travels to job sites all around the country and sometimes internationally. I (Rylee), work remote in Marketing. I actually just had my last day at REI Co-op today after 5 years, and will be starting a new marketing job on July 9th, 2024 for a company called Selkirk Sport which is a Pickleball Equipment Manufacturer.

Ryan and I just got a puppy, Benelli, so our days right now are filled by following her around. Before Benelli we traveled a ton and hope to continue once she gets a bit older. We often travel back to Washington to see family and friends. We've built a good friend group in the 2 years of being down here in Texas, we love spending time with them, going out for good food and drinks. Ryan and I admire the country lifestyle and often pretend we are good 2 steppers and spend time out at our friends parents ranch in Palestine, TX. We also love to workout together in the gym and go on walks!! In the past we have had some good friendly competition completing 75 hard together!!

I think whats important to us is our relationships with friends, family and eachother! We communicate very well and both love so much. Life is too short so it minus well be fun, exciting, we should work hard but also have as much fun as possible!

The Venue. Why did you choose it above anywhere else?

Suncadia and especially Swiftwater, is absolutely beautiful. We really wanted our wedding to feel like a weekend getaway. We already live far away from friends and family so we didn't want our wedding to be all over in one night. We hope to create a weekend getaway feeling for our guests! Suncadia is just far enough away from where our friends and family live for them to feel like it was a good getaway to celebrate with us!
