A beautiful celebration of love and culture at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre, surrounded by the natural beauty of Whistler, BC.

Eric and Erin met during our freshman year of college. Although we attended different universities, we maintained a friendship through the years that blossomed into more at the end of our junior year, partially due to COVID-19. During COVID, we both were living at home, Eric in Canada and Erin in California. During that time, we had nothing better to do than talk to each other, all day, every day. Since then, we have been inseparable, supporting each other through some of the most challenging and yet most joyful periods of our lives. Eric brought Erin back to TCU for a surprise proposal in front of the Frog Fountain, an homage to all the time we spent together there during our senior year of college. We could not be more excited to spend the rest of our lives together.
We want to remember the absolute joy and excitement of the day in perfect clarity. It is the one time in our lives where we get to create a special and beautiful day for all of our friends and family to celebrate our love and commitment to each other. I feel there is no other day as important or as purely joyful. I want to be able to create incredible memories for our families; life is all about holding on to its most beautiful moments in order to weather its hardest. I want our future selves and future children to look back on that day and and say, "Wow...they really are in love."
We first found your website through your promotion, looking to give back to 3 couples with tighter budgets. I was struck by the novelty of a successful company looking to give back to the community in such a generous and selfless way. I fell in love with the Instagram photos and videos and they way you captured people's joy. I also enjoyed meeting you and seeing your genuine heart for your craft. The quick response time and open communication also has made me very comfortable trusting you with our wedding.
Eric: I am an electrical engineer for Texas Instruments. I enjoy the technical aspects of my job requiring critical thinking and problem solving skills. When not at work, I love spending time with Erin and our two cats, Boo and Gambit. I am an avid golfer, skier, and electric guitar player. To me, Erin and my family are the most important things in my life.
Erin: I am a registered nurse and work in a cardiac and vascular hospital in the recovery room. If you know me, you know I love books. So far this year, I've read 125 novels (most of them I've read with my cat Boo curled up by my side). I also adore music and musicals. Overall, I'm a bit of a nerd and like my quiet evenings with Eric and my cats. However, I have great friends who support my introverted tendencies but also draw me out of my shell. To me, nothing is more important in my life than Eric and my family. I have two younger sisters who are my world; I could not love them more.
We are getting married at the Squamish Lil'Wat Cultural Centre in Whistler, BC, in Canada. The venue is unusual and was not what we initially had in mind. However, the uniqueness of the venue drew us in. We liked the outdoor patio for the ceremony and cocktail hour where we could enjoy some of the natural beauty of Whistler and the intimate feel of the circular Istken Hall for the reception. We felt the Istken Hall would be an ideal place for our guests to dance and enjoy the reception.
If we could sum up the experience in one word, we would say "joy." (That's Erin's middle name!) But truly, we want nothing more than our families and our friends to experience true joy and love on our wedding day. We may not be able to provide the most opulent or luxurious experience ever, but our hope is that everyone sees the love we share and is able to celebrate fully and unabashedly. I just want everyone laughing and smiling!
