We were friends before anything for over two years. We met through Vous church, and after a period
of two years of singleness, waiting on the Lord, God brought us together at the perfect moment. I was
living in Los Angeles and Ricardo in Miami. We reconnected in December through prayer and worship
& game nights, hanging out with friends and it became obvious that God was doing something but we
didn’t know that it would become this. I left back to LA.

The next thing we knew, we had the Lord’s confirmation and that’s where our relationship started. Five months later I was on a flight back to Miami moving from LA. In May, Ricardo invited me to join him at the end of a mission in Rome. I had no idea whatsoever and he surprised me by proposing to me with my dream ring in my dream place, in front of the Fontana di Trevi. We got there at 2 am, I was skeptical at this point. The police cleared all of the people, and the had just cleaned the street, and when we went to take a picture he
proposed right then and there. I cried my eyes out, he forgot the speech he prepared, and it was so
special. He had already gotten my parents approval without me knowing and it was the best surprise.
Truly God’s hand was on it.
