About the Couple
The Proposal
We were friends before anything for over two years. We met through Vous church, and after a period
of two years of singleness, waiting on the Lord, God brought us together at the perfect moment. I was
living in Los Angeles and Ricardo in Miami. We reconnected in December through prayer and worship
& game nights, hanging out with friends and it became obvious that God was doing something but we
didn’t know that it would become this. I left back to LA.
The next thing we knew, we had the Lord’s confirmation and that’s where our relationship started. Five months later I was on a flight back to Miami moving from LA. In May, Ricardo invited me to join him at the end of a mission in Rome. I had no idea whatsoever and he surprised me by proposing to me with my dream ring in my dream place, in front of the Fontana di Trevi. We got there at 2 am, I was skeptical at this point. The police cleared all of the people, and the had just cleaned the street, and when we went to take a picture he
proposed right then and there. I cried my eyes out, he forgot the speech he prepared, and it was so
special. He had already gotten my parents approval without me knowing and it was the best surprise.
Truly God’s hand was on it.
Why do you want to capture your wedding on video?
I love emoting the idea of a special moment or capturing a fairy tale or romance story on camera. I
want our wedding to live on with us forever and for our kids to see it and cherish it. But also I want to
capture this time with your families and where and who they are at this current moment. Family
means so much to us, and there’s nothing more special than remembering these moments. I also
want it to feel like I’m watching a movie and also have all of it captured because our closest friends
will be there.
Why did you choose us?
Because of Topher Films' romantic yet simple vision with film and photography, I’m drawn to something that truthfully tells a story and captures the essence of a moment.
You guys? …What do you do?..How do you spend your days?.. What’s important in life?
We are involved a lot in ministry, whether it be small scale or more structured. Being in the presence
of the Lord and sharing that with others is an important part of our lives. Work wise, Ricardo is a
financial advisor, I’m in health and wellness and marketing.
We tend to focus on our health, we try to eat clean, workout consistently, work on whatever is
currently, and also spend time together. We do go to the movies often, it’s Ricardo’s favorite pastime.
The Venue. Why did you choose it above anywhere else?
It was my grandfather’s house on the farm and now it’s my parent’s. It was the first house I lived in
when I moved to this country with my mom. It holds sentimental value and also it portrays the
concept of redemption. The farm is also beautiful, with lots of lush greenery.
What experience do you want to give to your guests?
A God-centered wedding with the presence of the Holy Spirit but also that you can have fun and
dance. We want them to have a lot of fun and mix and mingle with everyone.
