A heartfelt celebration at Heyward Manor filled with southern charm, golden light, and timeless moments.

We are Alexis Gonzalez and Bri Stamps!
Alexis is from Miami, Florida and I am from Charleston, SC. Alexis, Dominican, but born in Boston, and Bri, American, but born in Germany--only God could bring two from two different worlds together in such a sweet and beautiful way. We met each other at Bri's church in Greenville, SC at a young adult's night on Monday. Bri's first thoughts were that he was tall, dark and handsome but taken (he was with his 'adopted' sister) and Alexis was captured by Bri's joyous smile. Their next meeting was the following Monday with the same young adults' group but at a bowling and arcade place. Bri found out it was his sister, and her interest was piqued :) They continued to see each other once a week at the young adult's nights (sometimes at church and other times playing pickleball, worship night, etc). Alexis pursued Bri with the utmost respect and chivalry and Bri (after their first date) knew she needed a foundation of friendship so she 'friend zoned' Alexis (cringe, I know)--but good news is, a short time later (almost 2 months) she confided in Alexis that if he would take her out on another date, it would be her joy and honor to go with him. We went on our second "first date" and the rest is history. We traveled to the DR, Miami, Tennessee and Charleston to see and meet each other's loved ones.
We shared our first kiss in the middle of the sky over the ocean in an airplane from DR back to Miami after 8 months of dating. We were each other's first kiss--so very special and romantic!
Alexis proposed to Bri on her hometown beach, Sullivan's Island at sunset on April 5th 2025. She was completely surprised and overjoyed. It was the most thoughtful and dreamy proposal ever!
We are so excited to put the name of Jesus on display and honor the Lord through our wedding and capturing that allows us to share the joy and the Lord's faithfulness and goodness for the rest of our lives with our loved ones and more. We want to share how Jesus changed our lives and capturing that is the sweetest, most cherished gift we will have from our wedding day.
We trust you and your team to capture both the joys and the sorrows of our wedding day as Bri's beloved momma; Kandy is in heaven with Jesus and will be deeply missed and longed for. There are several loved ones who will be deeply missed. Jesus has held us tight throughout our dating, engagement and we know He will continue to as we face the suffering on this side of heaven and in the broken world we live in. We are thankful for the hope of heaven and peace from God that surpasses all understanding.
We can't wait to one day, Lord willing, share it with our children as well.
Outside of the obvious--your incredible talent and gifts, we chose you guys because of your genuine, generous hearts, your willingness and kindness to help and giveback. Michael is amazing-- just from one phone call/zoom! We are so beyond excited to get to spend our wedding day with your team! Thank you isn't enough to describe our gratitude for y'all's generosity and service.
Alexis is a Financial Advisor Associate, working to become a financial advisor. He loves serving his community by educating and helping them understand and achieve their financial goals. Alexis enjoys golfing, watching Survivor and spending time with family and friends.
Bri is a patient experience host for a local Breastfeeding Center in Greenville, SC. She gets to welcome families, comfort them in this exciting, but overwhelming, time as they just welcomed their newborn into the world. She assures and encourages them as she does the scheduling and admin work in the office. I love seeing the precious newborns every day and being able to serve my community in this special way. Outside of work, Bri has many passions, including but not limited to...making jewelry, DIY projects, anything outdoors/in water, cooking, traveling, cleaning and organizing ;)
Together, we love to first and foremost spend quality time with our family and friends! We also love to hike, adventure outside, swim at local lakes, go golfing together/the driving range, watch a good TV show or movie. We love celebrating our loved ones and are in a fun season of life where friends are getting married, having babies, buying homes, or having birthdays! We are active members of our churches and are excited to begin going to one church together and jumping into serving there as well. We also both enjoy international mission trips to help others. Alexis has been to Costa Rica multiple times and Bri has a big heart for Africa and has been to Uganda twice on medical mission trips.
Alexis and Bri would both tell you what's most important about them and in life to them is knowing Jesus. Confessing you are a sinner in need of a Savior, repenting from your sin out of the Lord's kindness and accepting what Jesus did on the cross for you and me and His resurrection, giving us a personal relationship with Him and eternity with Him in heaven --the Gospel, the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ--that's what is most important to them. Jesus saved us and it is the best thing about us and living our lives by enjoying and glorifying God forever is most important to us in life.
HEYWARD MANOR
Bri's dream wedding venue and Pinterest dream (she didn't know that until we toured it haha). We love the water and so being able to be married right by it was a HUGE win for us, as well as the dreamy white barn (which was what Bri envisioned as a little girl...that or a white church). We fell in love with the venue because of its beauty in the outdoors and its owners, specifically whom we met and worked with, Mrs. Libby Black. She was a delight and so kind. The Lord provided and made a way, and we were able to book it and are so very thankful. A large perk for Bri was that nothing needs to be done to it, it is spectacular as it is.
We want our guests to experience what a life lacking nothing in Jesus looks like and feels like---to experience the joy, the comfort, the peace and how the sorrows of the day rest in the God of the Universe's mighty hands. We want them to see how Jesus holds our tears. How He is our joy.
We want them to experience the beauty of God's magnificent creation. How God lavishly pours out His love on us.
