Joseph and I met through work - I am a Realtor and he is in roofing sales. When I needed my first roof replacement for a client buying a home, I knew that I wanted to use his company, but had no idea about him yet. It just so happened that he was the one assigned to our job, and when he reached out, the energy was immediately noticeable. We worked seamlessly together, but there was something else there that neither of us could describe but still had us curious. We actually didn't start talking after that roof - I just knew that he was so incredible and amazing to work with that he would be my preferred roofer if the same thing were to happen with another client in the future. 5 months later, another client needed a roof, and I reached out again. That's when he asked if we could meet up outside of work, and from there, the chemistry was undeniable. Everything in our entire relationship has been incredibly connected, easy, beautiful, and has brought us so much happiness since day one.

For our proposal, he brought me to a beautiful winery in Fort Worth, we had some glasses of wine, and he had a gift for me. I suspected nothing of it, I just thought it was a gift because it was our date night. Then he brought me over by the view, had me open it, and it was a few items for our new home that we recently bought - a "home" sign, a knot, wooden initials of our letters, and an empty frame. He then had me read the card he wrote which had sweet words and then explained the symbolism - a "home" sign because I am now home, a knot to symbolize the one we tie, letters because the love of his life's initial is between his first and last name, and a frame to capture that exact moment. It then said "You're going to want to save the cork" - we are big cork savers, we have one for the first time my parents met him, for our birthdays, vacations, etc. so this one was saved too. He then told me to turn around and he asked me then! It was beautiful, intimate, and the perfect way to do it! We are so excited for our big day!
