About the Couple

The Proposal

Well we met on Bumble shortly after I moved to Galveston, TX. We went on our first date on
November 4, 2021 to Barefoot Brewery, hit it off right away, and have been living it up ever since…
Fast forward to April 2024, Kyle had an opportunity to deploy to the Philippines for six months and I
went along with him. Our families came over to visit us in Coron towards the end of our trip and Kyle
pulled off the most amazing surprise proposal on Banul Beach August 22, 2023.

Why do you want to capture your wedding on video?

This is our special day, and many of our friends and family are traveling far to help us celebrate. It will
be some of our friends first time to be on an airplane and it may be some of our guests (like my
grandparents and Kyle’s dad) last big adventure. We are trying to incorporate some of our families
into the wedding festivities and want to capture those special moments. I would love a video to look
back on and remember all the fun and all the love. Since it is so far away I would like this to be able to
share the video with family who will be unable to attend (and hopefully one day share with to our
future children)

Why did you choose us?

I saw a post via Instagram, about Topher Films still looking for 2 brides and a free teaser video that sparked my interest. I didn’t think I would get to have a videographer because of budget but I looked at your work
and discovered that it speaks for itself! Christopher's work is very authentic and great quality. He seem to
capture the entire day.

You guys? …What do you do?..How do you spend your days?.. What’s important in life?

As for me (Heather), I’m a IT Project Manger for a children’s hospital. Kyle is a Emergency Management
Project Manager / Specialist for the Army Corps of Engineers. We love to travel, scuba dive, camp,
work in our garden, really do anything outside. Our family and friends are most important to us and
we want to travel and see the world!

The Venue. Why did you choose it above anywhere else?

We wanted a destination wedding and landed on Alaska. Our venue is on the Kenai River right at the
peak of the salmon run (and we definitely planned to do some fishing - including the morning before the
wedding). We wanted a fun place where everyone could relax and have a great time. This venue is
also special because our family and wedding party can stay there with us.
