A charming Texas wedding venue featuring a picturesque covered bridge, perfect for rustic elegance and unforgettable celebrations.
We were just two kids in 7th grade when we fell in love!
Josh first noticed me, Sarah, during Gym class. He was running laps around the gym when I walked out of the locker room. He stopped in his tracks, completely mesmerized, and decided to strike up a conversation. It all began with a simple "hey"—the start of something beautiful.
Josh was so easy to love. Even at 13, he was the sweetest gentleman. He carried my books when walking me to class, tied my shoes, and held me close every chance he could. He even had an entire book of pick-up lines! My favorite? "Why are you putting on make-up? You’re messing with perfection."
I couldn’t help but steal kisses whenever I could. I admired how Josh had this incredible way of making everyone feel special. His love and kindness made my life brighter, and his laughter has been my favorite sound ever since.
Of course, our journey hasn’t been without challenges. We navigated long-distance during college, and while it was tough, it taught us so much about love, communication, and devotion. Those hard times only made us stronger and more grateful for the sweet, wonderful moments we now share.
We are so excited to continue our love story, surrounded by our closest family and friends on this special day.
The Proposal:
On May 21st, 2024, Josh popped the question during our Alaskan cruise. It was formal night, and we were all dressed up for dinner in the main dining room. Afterward, I wanted to head back to the room to change into something more comfortable.
Little did I know, Josh had other plans. As soon as we were back in the room, Josh got down on one knee and said, "Sarah, I love you. I want to be with you for the rest of my life. Will you marry me?"
I couldn’t say "YES!" fast enough before wrapping him up in a big hug. It was a complete surprise, and yes... I cried!
Now, here we are, ready to start the next chapter of our lives together.
LOVE, it is the real reason we are all there! I want to look back on my wedding video every year with my fiancé and be able to feel the love and joy not only from us but also family and friends, We are hoping to capture true and raw moments, laughter, tears, whispers in the ear, a smile from across the room, etc.
The wedding films! I kept comparing videos from other companies, and while they looked like great quality, something was always missing. I never truly felt the depth of love between the couple or their story as I did with Topher Films. Your work captures not just the moments but the emotions and connections that make them unforgettable.
Honestly, I tried convincing myself to choose someone else because of the cost, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that this is what I really wanted. So, I’ve decided to go for it, cutting the budget in other areas and taking on extra shifts to make it happen. Choosing Topher Films means choosing to preserve the love and story of our day in the way it deserves to be remembered.
Sarah: I am a Nurse, I used to work on a cardiac unit but recently changed to a women's service/ postpartum. I love my job so much more now that I get to see life be brought into the world rather than taken away. I value quality time with loved ones the most and I want to travel all the time and find myself in new crazy adventures, Josh reluctantly joins every time. (cliff jumping into the ocean, Zip lines higher than the empire state building, helicopter clear bottom tours on to a glacier). Josh has a fear of heights, but is a good sport and hesitantly joins the adventure with me. He always says, "this is the last time your getting me to do this crazy stuff."
Josh: Currently works as a lead in Kroger's click list department, and works weekends umpiring little league teams. He will be graduating in December from A&M commerce with a bachelors in general business. With all honesty Josh puts a strong importance on making money. At one point he was working 80+ hours a week and a full time student all with the goal of saving enough money, so he could join me at my college and put an end to long distance.
The common dominator at making money is he wants to make me happy, with the wedding, future home, cars, He is always willing to take a step back and make me a priority whenever I need it. We may not value the exact same thing to the same importance in life, but one thing is fore sure, We are always willing to put the other first.
Everything seemed perfect! The flow of the Covered Bridge Venue was so well thought out, and the backup plan for rain wasn’t just a reception room hastily thrown together for the ceremony—it felt intentional and just as beautiful.
What really stood out to us was how inclusive the venue was. At other places, it often felt like everything was focused on the bride, leaving the groom as an afterthought. But at the Covered Bridge Venue, we both felt equally prioritized. We loved how the getting-ready suites were close enough that we could yell "I love you!" to check in, yet still have our privacy. The private first meal together was the perfect touch—a quiet moment just for the two of us amidst the celebration.
A PARTY! I really want a mechanical bull but still trying to figure out where in the venue it will go.
