A timeless Community House Winnetka wedding filled with elegant details and heartfelt moments.

Proposal Story: On March 1st, 2025, Lanz got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife! It also happened to be my mom’s birthday. She told me she and my dad had dinner plans at the Ambassador Hotel, so I kept saying to Lanz, “Wow! I’m so glad my mom is doing something nice for herself — she never does anything!” I was so happy for her and insisted we had to be on time for their plans.
Lanz picked me up with a big smile, though I noticed he seemed just a little nervous. He chuckled each time I repeated how excited I was for my mom’s special night. When we arrived at the hotel, we rode up to the rooftop. As soon as the elevator doors opened, I saw my roommate was waiting there with a camera, and I was led out to a beautiful balcony filled with flowers and candles. Lanz had the rest of my family and friends waiting to congratulate us after I said yes! It meant so much to me.
There stood the love of my life, waiting to ask me the most important question, and of course, I said yes! It was truly the best day of my life… and my mom’s birthday, too!
I want our wedding captured in photos and video because this is the day we testify our promise to each other and to God. These memories will be a reminder for us to look back on during both joyful and challenging times, and something we can one day share with our future children. Many of our family members in the Philippines won’t be able to attend, so having this day documented will also allow us to share the joy with them and let them feel connected to our celebration.
We chose Topher Films because your work feels authentic, emotional, and timeless. The way you capture both the big moments and the small, in-between ones really spoke to us — it feels like you tell the story of the day rather than just record it. We love how your films allow couples and their families to relive the emotions of their wedding day, and we trust you to do the same for us.
We love cooking together, going to church, working out, and even grocery shopping. Honestly, we just love doing life together — especially the little things, like running errands side by side. We enjoy trying new restaurants, spending time with friends at the beach, or simply hanging out in a living room on the couch. No matter what we’re doing, being together makes it special.
We chose our venue for its beautiful garden and the inviting drive that leads to it. The North Shore area feels so special and welcoming, and we loved the idea that each anniversary we’ll be able to return, revisit, and relive all the feelings and memories from our wedding day.
We want our guests to experience both the depth and the joy of this day — the sacredness of the season we’re entering, but also the excitement, fun, and celebration of it all. Our hope is that everyone leaves feeling the love we have for each other, for God, and for the people who mean the most to us.
