About the Couple

The Proposal

Jake and Hope met in high school back in 2018. After dating only 3 months, they started a 5 1/2-year long distance journey as Hope started her time at Army West Point and Jake began college. The distance nearly won many times; but love persevered each time the devil tried to pull them apart. After Hope graduated in may of 2023, she was stationed in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and Jake was back in Philadelphia; the furthest their distance had ever been. In September of the very same year, Jake moved across the country to be with Hope, quitting his job on the spot and leaving everything else behind, ending their long distance journey forever. In April of 2024, Jake finally asked Hope to be his wife!

Why do you want to capture your wedding on video?

We want to remember every second of this day. I’ve dreamed about my wedding since I was a baby, and Jake and I have been talking about our wedding day since we were 17. I know the day will fly by, so I was to be able to go back and relive the special moments.

Why did you choose us?

I was looking everywhere for a photographer/videographer that matched what I wanted. Something high quality and very professional looking. Then Topher Films popped up on my page and I was immediately sold!

You guys? …What do you do?..How do you spend your days?.. What’s important in life?

Jake works in financial services with a full time job from home, and Hope is a second Lieutenant in the United States Army, as well as a fitness coach on the side. We prioritize our health and fitness, and spoil our 2 dogs and 1 cat as if they were our kids. We both moved to Lawton Oklahoma recently, and it’s just us in a big, new state; so we’re exploring the area and relying on each other for love and comfort, and just enjoying the blessing of living so close again. We enjoy the simple things in life.

The Venue. Why did you choose it above anywhere else?

In all honesty, the Barn House was affordable and we were rushing to find a venue that had a date as soon as November 30th! I also had only 1 weekend home to find the venue and my dress! It offered an outdoor ceremony in November, which others weren’t allowing, and it really was beautiful. All around a great venue!
