A beautifully styled Atlanta wedding centered on connection, celebration, and quiet romance.

I'll try my best not to make this too long ;) For context, you need to know that I coach club soccer. I've been coaching for 13 years and I love posting about my teams in my Instagrams stories. One day I received a message from Daniel wanting to know information on how to get into coaching. I had no idea who he was and I wasn't even following him. Luckily around that time I really needed an assistant and he spoke very passionately so I figured it wouldn't hurt to bring him out to a session. I introduced him to my director and he started shadowing and coaching along side me until he was comfortable enough to be on his own. We became good friends! We started to hang out after practices and not long after that he asked me out on a date. All it took was one date and we were pretty much inseparable. Now this is where things got interesting. We dated for a few months before Daniel asked if he could meet my parents so they could get to know him before anything got anymore serious. He asked my parents out to eat but I wasn't allowed to go. I was a ball of stress the whole afternoon. When they came back I was absolutely floored with what they told me. My dad apparently recognized him right away. It turns out that 25 years ago when both of our parents first immigrated here, they were all roommates with each other. Our moms were best friends that lost contact after my parents moved to a different area. My parents told us stories about how Daniel's grandmother used to baby sit us together. We found pictures of us as kids but we have no recollection of anything, it's so weird. That same day we took both of my parents over to Daniel's house, our moms hadn't seen each other in yeeeaaarsss! So you can imagine the surprise when she walked in to find them. After that everything fell into place so easily.
The day we got engaged was in Puerto Rico. I thought we were taking a big group trip with all of our friends. Not even thinking that anything else was coming. In my mind I just figured everyone really really wanted to go on a vacation. Daniel asked if we could have a date night on one of the days and I agreed. We had dinner and walked around for a bit. Looking back, he was acting really weird but again I was completely oblivious. We came to a crowd and I saw my friends sitting across from us. I didn't see the sign to the left at first. I took one glance and knew! My friends had tears in their eyes and the crowd around us got bigger. There were lots of cheers. Everything was perfect.
I love candid photos! Laughter and tears between us and our families. I would also like some creative portraits. The church ceremony is also very important to us. As for the reception I'd love pictures of our friends and family having fun that we can share with them!
At first all I saw was the ad. I clicked on your profile to see what style you had and I loved it! Not thinking anything would really come of it but I'm a "you never know" type of person. Thankfully!
Work wise, I work as an administrative assistant for a construction company by day and as I mentioned I coach soccer for kids almost every afternoon. Daniel works as a GM at a great restaurant in Marietta. We love watching sports, especially soccer, together. We're BIG foodies and enjoy trying new restaurants. We're very active! We take yoga classes together and lifting at the gym is most fun! However there's nothing we enjoy more than sitting at rooftop bars and breweries with good craft beers. Our friends and family are the most important things. Daniel loves hosting people over! His daughter Mila, is the light of my eyes. We're excited to grow our family in the future.
Originally we were looking for a venue that was central for everyone. Everyone always says it's whatever the bride and groom want but like I said before, friends and family and very important to us and we value their opinion. I wanted something modern and elegant. What eventually sold us was the person that showed it to us. She's amazing and broke down what it would look like with decor and all. She let us come on a day where everything was set up for another event and I thought it would be perfect for our big family and friends.
We just want our guests to have a good time! Lots of drinks and dancing! We have a lot of family flying in from different places and everyone is so important to us so whatever we can do to make everything more enjoyable, we'll do.
