Allan House in Austin offers a beautiful and intimate setting for your wedding, blending historic charm with modern elegance for an unforgettable celebration.
Christine and Kevin met at an ugly Christmas sweater party at Sigma Chi during their Sophomore year at Michigan State. Christine introduced herself with a fake name but later divulged her nickname, Teenz. After working frivolously the next day to find out her real name, Kevin slid into her Facebook DMs with a legendary pick-up line (not). Thanks to the support from her good friend, she declined to respond. However, weeks later, they ran into each other at an NYE party in Windsor, Canada. Full names were exchanged, and the rest is history.
The next couple of years in college involved their first date at P.F. Changs, Library study dates, formals, date parties, their last date at MSU (P.F. Changs, again), graduation, and many more memories.
After graduation, they were long-distance for three years while Kevin was on a rotational program for work, traveling to each other whenever possible. Fortunately, they could experience London, Paris, Munich, Barcelona, the Canary Islands, and (of course) Sturgis, Michigan. In 2020, COVID brought Kevin home from England before moving to Austin, Texas. Shortly after, Teenz joined Kevin in Austin, where he proposed two years later.
We want to capture as much of our big day as possible via photo and film so that we can watch it back years from now and remember the special night.
We saw Topher Films end product on Instagram and liked what we saw. We also appreciate the price difference between your company and some others on the market.
Kevin works in medical device manufacturing and Christine works in social media advertising. We are both from the midwest, but love it here in Austin. When we aren't working or planning our wedding we enjoy trying new things around the city (food, music etc...), being on a boat whenever possible, and traveling.
We chose Allan House because we wanted a venue in the city that is easy for our guests to get to. Also, Allan House provides a great environment for our theme of a "backyard Italian family get together" that we are striving for.
We want our guests to enjoy the whole weekend and explore Austin as much as possible so they can see why we love it here. At the wedding we want our guests to feel comfortable and relaxed and ready to have a good time on the dance floor celebrating us. This will be the first time in a while that may of our family/friends are together so we want it to feel like a reunion of sorts.
